Pillow cover
Painted Pet Bottle

Pet bottle - other side
Hanging pot on one side of the chime. Money plant is reaching it from the other end of the balcony
Ma's chilli sprouts. Sadly few pigeons hogged on them and today we saw only 3-4 left 😦
Bougainvillea - Buds have appeared just yesterday...
Malabar Spinach
Tulsi Plant - Had brought it home when it was chotu. It's growing too fast, having an affair with our rose plant. Rose plant's branch keeps bending to reach it however apart we keep it. *rolls eyes*
Had got this planter from Dilli Haat from our trip. No plant in it has survived so far. Have sown coriander seeds on Sunday, fingers crossed. Lets see 😀
We had almost lost this plant when I changed the soil, sprinkled compost and now its very much alive and kicking 😀

That pillow cover looks so beautiful. The whole family is so talented 🙂
The painted pet bottle is lovely. A suggestion – You can put money plant in water in it and hang it inside your home somewhere. Would look beautiful… 🙂
I liked your balcony garden. So much greenery. 🙂 Looks nice and soothing..

    1. There’s nothing called a non green thumb re. Plants haven’t got anything to do with you watering them or not. There must something else that is wrong.

Lol on crow hair. You come down, I really wanna see how much you have faked about your looks

  6. Wow! You have so many plants in that balcony. And Im yet again left feeling disappointed that Im not doing anything about buying these plants and investing in a maali – cant do it myself 😦

And that malabar spinach – we call that dodda patre soppu – is that the one?

I think I HAVE to do something over this weekend. Let me try…

    1. Arey RS. I’m sorry if my posts make you feel that you are not doing anything. 😦 It’s okay RS. I too wasn’t doing anything much apart from the usual chores till lately. Also, since I’m interested and enjoy myself to keep myself on toes, I do it. I just can’t sit idle, it does drain all the energy out of me and at times I hate this habit of mine. I wish I could lay down and laze but I just can’t. Please don’t feel low 😦 As long as you enjoy what you are doing, that is what matters at the end of the day right.

I’m not sure about the name ‘Dodda patre soppu’ but in my hometown they call it ‘Basale soppu’

Do whatever ‘something’ you enjoy doing okay? Hugs 😀

      1. Not just blogging. Wanted to take time for pursuing yoga or gym. Maybe a hobby or two. I used to paint. I love music, also dance. Plus cookery classes. I wanted to quit work after marriage (for some time) and concentrate on these things. Stop to smell the flowers on the road side. But never happened due to financial constraints.

Cooking is something I pursue on weekends. Blogging is once a month, although commenting is others’ blogs is regular. Travel is something I religiously plan as per holidays. Will have to make do with this for now and then work on the rest later.

Will be now taking time off on weekends to pursue GMAT classes as well.

        1. Ohhh! I’m sorry Ash but I hope you get to smell the flowers soon. Weekend classes could be very strenuous when you have a full time job to manage.

Lottts of good wishes and oh, please hang around the blogs. You know how much a fan I am of your comments 😛

  8. wowwwww… the garden is so refreshing to the eyes… I am imaging a chair in the balcony with a book.. bliss…
And those pillow covers.. amazing yaar.. did you learn all this from the art/craft class? How can you draw so well and Ma stitch so well… kudos to both of you 🙂

    1. Ya and you must also imagine hordes of mosquitoes too to distract you from the book 😛

Arey no, I just googled embroidery patterns on the net and looking at the screen, drew on the cover free hand. Ma loves stitching apparently. She is now thinking about what to do next once pillow covers are done.

      Thanks Ani 🙂

and your green thumb is commendable…i cant take care of a single plant..so you are great in my opinion

    1. Yeah true. Dunno about the coming generation. I would like to teach my kids all that I know. Whether they would like to do it or not is upto them 🙂

I’m humbled. I’m nothing great re but I’m lucky for sure 😀

  11. Beautiful design on the pillow cover and nicely stitched too. Please share your success recipe for the curry plant please. A friend of ours got two curry leaf plants last year and they are still the same. I’m looking for some tips to make them grow.
Don’t worry about children wanting to go with someone else. My child used to latch on to his friend’s dad’s legs and say “pappa take me home with you” and we used hide our faces and wonder what the carers at the nursery think about us! Look at it as confidence of your child to be able to say that.

    1. Glad you liked it Gayatri 🙂

No success story w.r.t curry plants. I got the plant when it was small from a nursery. I have been watering daily, sprinkle compost once in a while and loosen the soil once a week.

😯 Your child used to do that? Yeah, I should look at their confidence and rejoice… Learning slowly 😀

  14. Wow, nice art work, the paintings & the pillow cover.

And u have a beautiful garden. Sorry to know that pigeons hogged on your chilly sprouts.

In our previous home, we had lot of space & an uncle in our flats gave me capsicum seeds. They sprouted & even started having small capsicum. i was really excited, 1st thing in the morning, i used to go and see the plants. But then they got some sort of infection & died. i was heart-broken & stopped working in the garden, except maintaining a few Tulsi Plants (gave them to neighbours, as we shifted to a different city).

Your pics really inspired me, let me try again, probably i’ll start with a new Tulsi plant.
