Go Goa – Part 2

08 Jan

First bath in the sea was magical.. Mantam (read we) didn’t want to come out of there. It was a much needed break for all of us. We stayed in water till the lifeguards came whistling to summon everyone back to the shore. We went back to our rooms to take a shower. We got all decked up to attend a DJ party which we had heard was one of its kind and happens in this beach only on Saturdays. (Well, I haven’t yet gone to any such party till date) Read about it here

Our resort‘s owner, Mr. Joseph hosts Barbecue dinner at night on the beach. He himself dishes out a delicious fare of sea food. We had been interacting with Mr. Joseph over phone asking him various question. It was a great pleasure to meet him in person. We complimented him about his hospitality and he was humble enough to say that Goans are in general known for their hospitality. We ordered for two barbecue meals – one with squids and the other with prawns. The meal also included lemon rice, jacket potatoe, chilli chicken and salad. I hovered around Mr. Joseph clicking pictures while he was at work and learnt from him the recipe of Goan Rachaedo masala.

After the meal, we walked on the sand to reach Neptune point where the silent noise party was to begin. It was a long walk and seemed even longer after a heavy meal and a strenuous day. We were all drained out but Mantam were still full of energy. We reached the venue and enquired about the entry fees. One look at Mantam and the guys there asked us if we really wanted to attend the party. On enquiring further, they said that the party runs till 4 AM and anything could happen midway. We instantly backed out and asked S&A to go ahead and enter. But they too weren’t so keen and retreated with us. On the way back, Mantam walked along with S&A and Abbas and I could snatch a few moments alone holding hands and walking on the sea shore. It felt so so good and we couldn’t feel more thankful to S&A for having tagged along. (What with free child care thrown in during a holiday)

By the time we reached our resort, A was hungry again. So we went to another restaurant on the sea shore close to our resort. We were all almost sleep walking by then. Only he ordered for a Grilled Sea Bass which was simply out of this world. All of us grabbed a few bites from his plate although we were all supposedly full and sleepy, but Mantam dozed off in their chairs and we had to carry them back to the room. That was a punishment for us as we were ourselves not in a position to walk. All I remember is somehow dragging myself forcibly till I reached the bed and the next thing I know is the sun rays peeping into our room. I woke up to a beautiful sight right out of the window…

More in the next post (Kya karein… Need to ration the content in each part to drag it as much as possible 😀 )
