Mantam participated in an event called Step-a-thon and raised funds for a Children’s Health Research Institute. They got a 5$ Cotton On Kids voucher as a token of appreciation recently from the event organizers. Mantam were on cloud nine. I told them that I would buy something for them from the Cotton On Kids. Next morning Mannu comes up to me
Mannu: Mumma, Cotton On Kids has T-shirts, leggings, socks, bracelets, socks, shoes etc.
Me (Busy getting ready in the morning): Hmmm ok
I thought she must be guessing all this
Mannu (still continuing): So I have checked all that they have. And I have decided that I want glittery shoes. So buy those for me.
Me (stunned now): How do you know they have glittery shoes?
Mannu: I went to their website, saw everything and chose.
Me: How did you know their website.
Mannu: It was written on the voucher na Mumma?
Me (composing myself) : Oh okay!
When did she grow up!!!
Conversation at breakfast table
Tammu: Safina told me that one boy told her that Tamanna is stupid
Me: Don’t bother about what other think about you
Tammu: But when I told my teacher, you know what she told me?
All of us: What??
Tammu: No, I’m not going to tell you.
All of us in chorus: Tammu, please tell na? please !!!
Tammu: Ok ok. I will tell you. My teacher said “Tamanna, that’s not true. You are the sweetest and nicest girl ever” (and she blushes and giggles)
Me: Why didn’t you want to tell us this?
Tammu (Looking down at the plate and not looking at us): I was shy. hhihihihihihi
Abbas: But Tammu, sometimes you do become selfish and don’t think about others. You have to work on it.
Tammu: Ok baba. I will google on it.
Abbas: Google on what?
Tammu: Google on how not to be selfish !!!!
